WHO AUTHORIZES THE REGISTRATION CUM MEMBERSHIP CERTIFICATE(RCMC)

The RCMC is required by any company that applies for an import/export license or any other advantage or concession under FTP unless expressly excluded.

The RCMC is issued by the competent registration authorities (Export Promotion Boards / Product Boards) by the procedures specified in the procedures manual.

An exporter can register and become a member of the Export Promotion Council (EPC). Upon enrollment, the applicant will receive the RCMC in the specified format. Potential/potential exporters can also register and become associate members of an EPC.

There are a total of 37 export promotion boards and marketing boards, each dealing with a specific product segment. When applying for RCMC, an exporter must indicate their main area of ​​activity in the application. An exporter must request the Council for an RCMC dealing with the product of its main sector of activity.

Special Cases

If an export product is not covered by an EPC / Commodity Board, the RCMC can be obtained from the Federation of Indian Exporters Organization (FIEO).

For exporters with multiple products for which the main area of ​​activity has not yet been completed, the exporter may receive the RCMC from FIEO

For multi-product exporters based in the Northeast States, the RCMC can be obtained from the Forest Products Export Promotion Council and Shellac, except for products administered by APEDA, Spice Board, and Tea.

Exporters of Arts and Crafts of the State of Jammu and Kashmir: The Director of Crafts, Government of Jammu and Kashmir is authorized to issue the RCMC

Validity

RCMC will be valid for five years unless otherwise mentioned.

Who Authorizes The Registration Of The Registration Membership Certificate (RCMC)?

§  The Federation of Indian Exporters Organizations (FIEO) or a competent Export Promotion Council (EPC) provides the RCMC record, which is obtained from the person who exports the products.

§  The Federation of Indian Exporters Organizations (FIEO) also offers registration under the RCMC, which is obtained from the status holder.

§  If the Export Promotion Council (EPC) does not cover an export product in such cases, an RCMC registration can be obtained.

§  The Export Promotion Council for Shellac and Forest Products (SHEFEXIL) also offers an RCMC registry, which is obtained from those who export forest products and value-added products.

§  EPC (ESC) for electronic software and computer the software enables RCMC registration for software exporters.

§  The Service Export Promotion Council (EPC) registers the exporters of 14 listed services, while the Association of Indian Exporters Organizations (FIEO) registers other service exporters.

Compliance With RCMC

Each exporter is required to provide the corresponding registrar with quarterly reports/details on their exports of various products.

If the exporter is registered with FIEO, it will also send quarterly declarations to FIEO in the specified format.

In the event of a change in the ownership, constitution, name, or address of an exporter, the exporter must inform the registry concerned within one month of the change.

Penalty For Violation

The Export Promotion Board may cancel the exporter's registration for some time due to a violation of the registration conditions.
